Saving Absalom is about the business of teaching young black males Emotional Intelligence, conflict resolution skills and other real life tools so that they are able to end generational curses and live positive and productive lives.

Changing ideas about what manhood is
Founded in 2016, Saving Absalom has made tremendous impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the Memphis community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we pour into Memphis’ youth.
Ways We Help
Saving Absalom put to the test
Teaching life skills and tools for navigating toxic situations/environments to our mostly at risk children.
Saving Absalom took on the task of only instructing the students with the worst conduct records in the Spring of 2021. We chose to mentor the TIER III students exclusively (those who have the most disciplinary infractions) of two Shelby County high schools for one semester. We were very proud that the infractions of both groups were reduced to virtually zero. We have found a method that is extremely effective in teaching young men to become aware of themselves, their actions and how those actions impact everyone’s lives in their communities and we need your help to expand our reach. Feeling like there are countless pressing issues that no single program could make a marked difference? Our Volunteering initiative has proven to be a powerful tool for Saving Absalom to successfully serve our community and improve countless lives.
Community Outreach
Expanding minds and horizons
Through donations and grant Saving Absalom is able to introduce Children to events that are unavailable to them under normal circumstances. Saving Absalom, Community Outreach is a source of great pride for our Non-Profit Organization.
